Don’t watch The OA expecting it to be like Stranger Things. There are small kind of ‘references’ in the first few episodes but it’s still a bit of a reach. The show holds onto its own very unique and powerful story. Amazing cast. The whole thing left me speechless, breathless and with goosebumps. Never has a show in my whole life made me feel that way. Highly suggest it!

the oaseries one, episode one › homecoming

i need help. i need to cross a border that’s hard to define. maybe you know what i’m talking about? or you don’t, but… you feel it. because you’ve felt other borders, like youth and adulthood, maybe. i can’t change your fate… but i can help you meet it. we begin our journey to the border tonight. midnight. the unfinished house at the edge of crestwood view. don’t come unless you leave your front door open. you have to invite me in.

They said it would be invisible. Like jumping into an invisible current that just carries you away.

me: the oa is such a complex and interesting show, it has amazing characters and it really explores topics that aren’t talked about in tv shows
also me: wtf did i just watch?

  • Person: what's the OA about?

  • Me: *screams for 12 years*

It’s not really a measure of mental health to be well adjusted in a society that is very sick.
